a wave of support

like so many others the world over, i'm shocked and saddened by the devastation that sunday's indian ocean tsumanis left behind. who could've imagined the ferocity with which the waves tore through coastal areas in twelve nations?

this certainly makes me consider my everyday proximity to the pacific coastline, only a few miles from a major seismic fault line. it makes me consider how life is fleetingly precious. it makes me consider what i can do aside from sympathize with affected families and nations. perhaps, for a moment, this tragedy can bring people together. i am always encouraged by the kind-heartedness of strangers and everyday people.
