a family affair

usually i pay little to no attention to the nfl super bowl, but this year is different. both of my brothers are huge football fans - one of the pittsburgh steelers, and one of the seattle seahawks - since waaaay back in the franco harris/terry bradshaw/steve largent days of the early 80s. so of course, a lot of pre-game smack-talking has been sent over email for the past two weeks. i love it!

as much as i dig both of my bros, i have to choose sides in this game, just for nostalgia's sake. since chris has never seen his team reach this pinnacle, i'd love to see the 'hawks pull this one out. after nearly 30 years of being a diehard, face-painting, season-ticket-having, sign-holding, no-voice-after-the-game supporter, he deserves a victory (imho).

when it comes to basketball, though, we're all united as a family - go 'heels!
