sometimes when blogging i don't know
quite what to write & then
start feeling pressure because maybe three weeks
have gone by & i haven't put anything down
because other stuff has been on my mind or
nothing particularly interesting is on my mind

even tho there's plenty to discuss
like the ongoing war (for oil) abroad & the ongoing war at home &
global warming & darfur & immigration as the new racism &
the threats to civil liberties & roe v. wade & gay families
hating board meetings & questioning my career
all the other things i think about in the course of a day
& wonder why i'm not more actively doing anything

or even discussing good things like a great dinner with an old friend
or my mama's birthday tomorrow or how the sunlight is still around
an hour after i get home from work

i guess that bloggers walk a fine line between being
totally consumed & being
totally lackadasical &
i try to fit in the
comfortable middle

that's no excuse but
still
